Today marks the last day that I will be in Italy, and I have mixed emotions about going back home. I love it over here in both Greece and Italy but I am also a little ready to get on the plane. I am not looking forward to going back to work, but I am excited to see my family again.

The last days of this trip have been fun and memorable. I also checked off two things on my bucket list to see. We ventured out and experienced Florence, went on a tour of the Coliseum and explored the ruins of Pompeii.

Just experiencing everything in the past three days has gone by so fast, but I am glad to have experienced them.

As a quick note to anyone traveling to Greece or Italy, watch out when you cross the streets. The drivers tend to go fast around corners. I know this from experience and nearly got hit a few times while in Europe.

Overall, the past two weeks have been amazing and wouldn’t change them for the world. I have met some amazing people that have made this trip worth it. I was worried that coming into this trip, I would not fit in or find a group of people to do things with. It has been the exact opposite and I have made some great friends along the way.

You really get to know people when you travel with them. I hope to continue the friendships built in Italy and Greece when we get back to school and into the future. Without them, I would not have made it through this trip.
